At age 94, Ole Georg has been inducted into the Production Music Association Hall of Fame, recognizing more than seven decades of work that helped shape the production music industry.

For vinyl collectors, music historians, filmmakers and music supervisors, names like Capitol Media Music and the Hi-Q Series are part of the history of music created for picture.

But behind those records is a much bigger story.

Ole Georg Music celebrates Ole Georg’s induction into the Production Music Association Hall of Fame in 2026, honoring more than seven decades of innovation, independent music production and entrepreneurship.

**Ole Georg was an independent composer and music producer who produced and financed music independently and licensed it to Capitol Records.** His work helped shape the history of production music, including the era associated with Capitol Media Music and the Hi-Q Series. Capitol was part of the release and licensing history. Ole Georg’s independent story and business are central to the history behind the music.

For vinyl collectors, music historians, filmmakers and music supervisors, Capitol Media Music and Hi-Q are familiar names. But the story extends beyond the names on the records. It is also the story of Ole Georg, the independent producer and entrepreneur behind the music, and the legacy that continues through **Ole Georg Music**.

Born in Denmark, Ole Georg played violin with the Danish Youth Orchestra before becoming a program director and host at Radio Mercur, the pioneering Danish commercial offshore radio station. After coming to America, he spent decades building his career in a business where he coined the term "production music", independently developing and financing music productions and licensing music to Capitol.

Ole Georg Music has continued his life's work and building an independent business around music for film, television and other media.
